FAQ
How it works
- Confess. Busted truck, bad haircut, 14th parking ticket. Tell us the dumb thing you did and what it cost.
- Beg shamelessly. Rate your own degeneracy. Funny is encouraged. Honest is required.
- Get enabled. Strangers toss $5 because they've been there. No judgment. Okay, a little judgment.
- Get paid. Donors give through the payout page the beggar links (PayPal, Ko-fi or similar). Begillionaire may take a cut; fee details will be posted in the Terms.
Where does my money go?
Donors give through the payout page the beggar links (PayPal, Ko-fi or similar). Begillionaire may take a cut; fee details will be posted in the Terms.
What does "Verified link" mean?
The beggar proved they control that payout page (by putting a code in its public bio, or by admin review). It does NOT mean the story is true or that we vouch for them.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds depend on the payment service you used and the beggar. Contact them first, then report the beg here if something is wrong.
Are the totals real?
They are self-reported. The beggar updates "amount received so far" and donors can post "I gave $X" shout-outs. We can't confirm any of it.
What are example begs?
Begillionaire is brand new, so a few example begs run until real ones replace them (one retires for each real beg; all gone by 20). There's no real person behind them, so Donate shows a notice and points you to tip the devs or find a real beg.
Who can like or dislike?
Logged-in, verified users. One reaction per beg. Tap again to undo, tap the other to switch. Counts are public.
What does ✅ Receipt checked mean?
The donor sent us a receipt privately and a human moderator looked at it and it seemed legit. That's it. It's not a guarantee, and receipts are never shown publicly. Everything without the ✅ is plain self-reported.
Who is Broke Bart the Grizzly?
Bart's a cartoon bear, not a real beg. He's our mascot: he pops up in the ticker, has no account, takes no money and never counts on the leaderboards.
What are the leaderboards?
Top 20 Donors ranks people by the shout-outs they say they posted (public display name only; anonymous shout-outs, shout-outs to yourself and example begs don't count). Top Beggars ranks begs by the "amount received" their owner typed in. Until enough real names show up, rows tagged "example" fill the board; they are made up and never count. Everything is self-reported, capped, and moderators can pull anything that smells fishy.
How does the site stay online?
We’re just poor web developers who also did something stupid: we built this site. If you’re feeling generous, toss us a tip to keep the lights on.
